A Ghost Wolf’s Bite – Amy Hodges-Laurenzo

Morning…
At the cabin…
Lisa worked in the kitchen to fix breakfast.
In the halls of the cabin, an elderly Ghost Wolf female phased through the bedroom door, on the second floor. Nellie decided to go exploring. She used her form to search.
The Ghost Wolf looked silvery and ethereal. The snout seemed a little bony and a few teeth had fallen out. Her mane looked a little thinner and a claw on her left paw appeared twisted. Nellie the Ghost Wolf did count her age as beyond three hundred, however the appearance said nothing as to what she had always been capable of.
Nellie moved down the hall. The Ghost Wolf slipped from room to room, phasing through walls. Moving like a ghost, she made her way to the stairs.
Rather than walk down the stairs, she phased through them to the ground level. Then she phased her head out of the wall and looked around.
She yipped like a pup and jumped out of the wall, as she passed through another and into the kitchen.
Lisa jumped as the Ghost Wolf just appeared.
The nurse currently wore blue scrubs and shoes, with an apron. Luckily, she only dropped the fork with the surprise. The pan stayed on the stove. The plate of bacon sat next to her.
“Nellie?” The size of the Ghost Wolf shocked her. She seemed almost double the size of a normal wolf. Silver and white, she looked as the name implied, ghostly…almost on fire with ethereal flames.
Nellie pushed up to her hind legs and did a little dance. With a spin, the Ghost Wolf fell forward, placing her paws on the cabinet beside Lisa…where the plate of bacon resided and began to eat.
Lisa wanted to stop the Ghost Wolf, but instead, she stepped back laughing. For being an Elder Ghost Wolf, Nellie had a sense of play about her that almost seemed cub like. “Old in age, but young a heart.”
“I may be old and got cast out for being eccentric, but I will no doubt live another two hundred years easy and maybe more.”
That startled the nurse. Because of the age and not made a member, Nellie should not have been able to use the pack link. “How?”
Nellie the Ghost Wolf looked back at her as she chewed up the last of the bacon on the plate. “You do realize that Alpha Ryan and my Great Granddaughter are fated mates. His wanting her alone with him certainly wasn’t a saints thing. They fucked. Mated. Bites and all.”
“Wait, what?”
“You are all normal Wolves, but now that an Aave Luna is now in play, you will turn into one of us. Just how quick it the question.” The Ghost Wolf pushed off the counter, spun, and bit into the forearm of her unsuspecting nurse.
A surge of pain shot through Lisa’s arm and then she collapsed to the floor, slipping into unconsciousness.
The Ghost Wolf Elder returned to the bacon. She ate the whole plate, the half cooked, and the raw.
After she consumed it, she shifted back to herself long enough to turn the stove off. “Only you can prevent forest fires.”
Nellie laughed.
Then she shifted back to her Ghost Wolf self.
She went out and bite those that had the job of guarding her as well. The two Enforcers got dragged back to the kitchen, in their unconscious states, and she left them there, collectively.
